Introduction – Some of our clients are interested in opening a Swiss Bank Account in addition to their bank accounts in Panama. We can help you with the Switzerland Bank Account opening.
Type of Bank –The bank we use is a Switzerland Private Investment Bank. This bank dedicates itself completely to asset management with an emphasis on preservation of capital and return on investment. This bank does not participate in commercial lending, trading, equity or bond underwriting. Thus any potential for conflict of interest that is typically found with most banks is removed from the investment situation. This bank does not seek any involvement in high risk ventures. Swiss banks are subject to some of the most rigorous requirements of any country in the world. This particular bank has a Moodys rating of A3. They have 280 employees and 26 Billion Suisse Francs under management. Remember this is a private investment bank, not a commercial bank.
The bank is not opening accounts for commercial business bank accounts. These accounts are not for receipt of payments from customers or for paying invoices. You will be provided with a Panama Bank Account for such commercial activity. The account can be in the name of a Panama Corporation or Panama Foundation but commercial activity is not expected. Accounts can be held in most major currencies.
Due Diligence – The due diligence the bank will conduct is a serious matter in that the bank is quite particular as to who it has as a client. The bank will dispatch a representative to meet with you in your home country. If this is not acceptable you can come to Panama, Nassau or Switzerland to meet with a representative of the bank for a personal interview.
To make application our law firm requires the following from you: A notarized copy of a passport and drivers license, a general business reference letter from any of the following: attorney, accountant, insurance broker, securities broker, real estate broker, medical clinic or dental clinic and a reference letter from a bank anywhere in the world.
One does not need to go to Switzerland or Panama to have the bank account opened in that the personal interview can be conducted at your home. The bank representative may ask for more due diligence documents and information. This is between you and the Swiss Bank. We are only supplying you with the corporation, foundation, Panama bank accounts for the corporation and foundation and the Swiss bank introduction.
Bank Secrecy – We have a full discussion on Swiss Bank Secrecy at this page.
Minimum Deposit – The true minimum deposit is $500,000 but the bank will allow the account to be opened with an initial deposit of $250,000 allowing one up to one year to attain the $500,000 level. This allows one to invest time deposits as they come due. It also allows one the necessary time to liquidate other assets such as securities, real estate etc. for the minimum deposit. The important point is that the $500,000 minimum is attained within one year. These required minimums are very reasonable for a Private Swiss Investment Bank. The bank will not be deducting fees like 1% per annum for keeping your account open. You will be returning a handsome return on your investment based on their track record. That is what this bank is known for.
Account Opening– We do not assist with the opening of personal accounts with this bank, just Panama corporate bank accounts or Panama foundation bank accounts. We only open accounts for corporations or foundations we have formed. If we did not form the corporation or foundation we would need to change the nominees and resident agent to those of our law firm before the application to the bank is made. Inquire for this service.
Fees – We will provide a complete Panama Foundation and a complete Panama Corporation each with a Panama Bank account suitable for commercial activity, along with the Swiss Bank Account introduction for $6000.00. Questions welcome.
Name of the Bank – If you are already a client of our law firm we will discuss the name of the bank with you before application is made. The bank has no interest in being contacted by individuals that have not already gone through the due diligence of our law firm.
